Orange Creme Brulee

Finally, i made it.

A month ago, i came across with a Orange Creme Brulee recipe, and then i thought of suggesting to Chef, so that we can change the flavour of brulee to an orange flavoured creme brulee, Chef tried making the brulee with the recipe i gave him, but it didn't set properly. I was disappointed, because it tasted overwhelmed, just that the creme texture didn't set properly.

Every week, at work, whenever i got time, i will try to experiment, playing around the recipe and see what happen.

Tried it several times, disappointment is all i got from those freaking little brulee, i don't even want to let chef try it.

After a month of experiment and improvisation, i made it! Today!

Can't wait til chef come back from his days off, will let him try and see wat he said. Maybe this time around, he will definately give me this big GREEN LIGHT to put it on the restaurant menu. Awesome, can't wait for that! :D

While we all know not to expect too much of spectacular experience when going to an Asian Restaurant, except for fast and tasty food. Self-heating can of latte?

Mom bought something "rather interesting" for me the other day, thought that I might want to try. Yes, a can of self-heating latte! I've heard of self-heating instant noodle bowl from Japan and also self-heating teriyaki chicken but never tried it myself. I'm not sure how popular this self-heating latte is, obviously I've never heard of it as I thought it is way to easy to get a cup of coffee anywhere in the world, be it a good cup of espresso or a rather ordinary cup of filtered coffee or maybe just get a can of nescafe from the vending machinece near you, but you get the caffeine kick whenever you want it anyway. So, on this rather ordinary day, I finally took up the courage and try it! Happy Mid Autumn Festival

It was Mid Autumn Festival/ Mooncake Festival/ Lantern Festival for every Chinese out there. It is also a day to reunite with your family; to chat, eat, drink tea and play lantern under the perfectly round moon. I have lost count on how many Mid Autumn Festival I've missed celebrating with my family. This year was one exception, I got to eat mooncake, drink tea, play lanterns and candles with my family. You'll never feel too old playing lanterns. When we were a lot younger back then, we used to play with candles, making it into a fire stove and started cooking with dried leaves where we picked up at the garden. Well, now that we have all grown up, we don't play with fire anymore, but focus more on decorating the garden with colourful paper lanterns.
