Counting down to 2010

Year 2009 is coming to an end (how good is that! :D) and year 2010 is approaching in 2 days, i have a sudden urge to compile a list of restaurant that i have visited in year 2009.

It is actually quite a good dining-out year and that explain my weight gain!  I have yet to visit those really expensive restaurant in Perth ie My Wish List, but I have visited a few Best Restaurant in Perth and Melbourne. Those experience were too great not to mention but i somehow find it hard to put them into words here.

I'll try my best one day though, cause i really like to share my awesome experience dining at those really good restaurant especially Vue de Monde in Melbourne.

While we all know not to expect too much of spectacular experience when going to an Asian Restaurant, except for fast and tasty food. It doesn't bother me much if they were not providing top notch service or the tables were sticky, or using chipped crockery, as long as the food is good. Unfortunately ... Happy Mid Autumn Festival

It was Mid Autumn Festival/ Mooncake Festival/ Lantern Festival for every Chinese out there. It is also a day to reunite with your family; to chat, eat, drink tea and play lantern under the perfectly round moon. I have lost count on how many Mid Autumn Festival I've missed celebrating with my family. This year was one exception, I got to eat mooncake, drink tea, play lanterns and candles with my family. You'll never feel too old playing lanterns. When we were a lot younger back then, we used to play with candles, making it into a fire stove and started cooking with dried leaves where we picked up at the garden. Well, now that we have all grown up, we don't play with fire anymore, but focus more on decorating the garden with colourful paper lanterns. Self-heating can of latte?

Mom bought something "rather interesting" for me the other day, thought that I might want to try. Yes, a can of self-heating latte! I've heard of self-heating instant noodle bowl from Japan and also self-heating teriyaki chicken but never tried it myself. I'm not sure how popular this self-heating latte is, obviously I've never heard of it as I thought it is way to easy to get a cup of coffee anywhere in the world, be it a good cup of espresso or a rather ordinary cup of filtered coffee or maybe just get a can of nescafe from the vending machinece near you, but you get the caffeine kick whenever you want it anyway. So, on this rather ordinary day, I finally took up the courage and try it!
